Veterans
Veterans (or their eligible dependents) wishing to become students at Miami's regional locations should follow admission instructions depending on their student type.
- If you have never earned any previous college credits, go to the first-time student page on this website to apply.
- If you have earned credits that you propose to transfer to Miami, go to the transfer student page on this website to apply.
Once you have gone through the admission process and become an accepted student, go to the Veterans page on the Oxford financial aid website for information that will help you when applying for your educational benefits.
Miami's regional campuses employ student veteran peer counselors to assist veterans with applying for VA benefits, completing VA online forms and verifying enrollment with the VA.
Both regional campuses have their own student organizations for students who are veterans. More information about these organizations will be available soon.
Note: Learn about the Miami Veterans Legacy Scholarship available for undergraduate tuition expenses for U.S. Military Veterans and lineal descendants of Miami Alumni (parents or grandparents) who have served honorably in the U.S. Military. Students are eligible during their initial enrollment period at any of the Miami Regional facilities at an enrollment level of 6 credit hours or more per semester.
