Before his career in higher education Professor Hall practiced law in the United States and the Federated States of Micronesia, where he served as assistant attorney general. He has taught as a part-time instructor at the University of Evansville, College of Micronesia, and the Barry University School of Law. He has been a full-time faculty member and administrator in the Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies at University of Central Florida, University of Toledo, and Miami University Regional Campuses.
Dr. Hall is currently a visiting professor of law at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. His research interests center on U.S. public law, with an emphasis on constitutional law and criminal procedure. He is also interested in comparative law, administrative law, and higher education civic engagement.
