Miami’s Corporate and Community Institute Announces Fall Roster

Miami University’s Corporate and Community Institute has announced its fall programming at the Voice of America Learning Center.

A Breakfast Briefing will be held on Friday, Aug. 10 from 7:30-9am. The cost is $20. Join Stacy Aaron from Change Guides, LLC to learn the eight steps to getting people to accept change within your organization. Participants will learn what makes some projects succeed and others fail and learn best practice strategies to proactively transition employees during times of change.

The Nonprofit Board Leadership Certificate Program will meet on eight consecutive Tuesdays beginning September 18 from 6–9 pm. The cost is $795, including all materials and dinner prior to each class. Participants will learn from the experts the key competencies needed to effectively lead a nonprofit organization. Start by learning about your leadership style and move into understanding the different ways boards are governed, the importance of establishing a clear mission and vision, how to manage the media and grow your nonprofit’s resources. Participants will meet local organizations at the nonprofit expo and explore diverse board opportunities. The application deadline is Friday, Aug. 17.

The Change Management Certificate Program will meet Sept. 18-20 from 8 am-5 pm. Register before Aug. 21 for the discounted cost of $1,895, including all materials. Stacy Aaron, partner with Change Guides LLC and author, will guide participants through The Eight Constants of Change and will provide a pocket guide of tools to help positively manage change initiatives. Develop the skill and insight needed to initiate and communicate the change, sustain momentum and see it through to a successful conclusion. You will learn how to accept the change challenge, develop a leadership strategy and motivate and inspire the people around you.
