Pickens, Yurchak Receive MUH Scholar-Athlete Award

Student athletes Dawn Pickens and Kirtis Yurchak were named recipients of the 2012 Scholar Athlete Award at Miami Hamilton.
Pickens, a freshman accounting major from Columbus, is a member of the MUH women’s basketball team. She was named Female Scholar Athlete for the 2011-12 academic year and currently has a cumulative GPA of 3.83. She is the daughter of Tony and Doris Pickens of Columbus.
Yurchak, a freshman accounting major from West Chester, is a member of the MUH men’s basketball team. He was named Male Scholar Athlete for the 2011-12 academic year and currently has a cumulative GPA of 4.0. He is the son of Gregory and Deborah Yurchak of West Chester.
This award is presented annually to the male and female student athletes with the highest grade point average for the academic year.
