Thirty-Eight Earn Academic All-Conference Honors at Miami Regionals

The Ohio Regional Campus Conference (ORCC) has recognized thirty-eight student-athletes at Miami Hamilton and Miami Middletown as Academic All-Conference for the spring semester.

For Miami Hamilton:

In women's basketball, Dawn Pickens of Columbus earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Lam Dinh of Hamilton, Ethan Gaston of Okeana and Kirtis Yurchak of West Chester were the honorees in men’s basketball.

In baseball, Mitch Durbin of Fairfield, Mark Hildebrand of Brookville,IN, John Lehmkuhl of Cincinnati, Seth Martin of Hamilton, John Monnig of Springboro, EJ (Eric John) Naegel of Cincinnati, Mark Pitocco of Cincinnati and Kurtis Watkins of Urbana earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Shelby Doan of Hamilton, Samantha Hibbard of Fairfield, Sarah Hursell of Fairfield, Raychel Lotspeich of Cincinnati, Shelby Richards of Okeana and Anna Weber of Hamilton were the honorees in softball.

In men’s tennis, Joe Dunn of Hamilton, Josh Mabis of Hamilton and Robert Lowery of Hamilton earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Courtnay Dunn of Hamilton, Jessica Irvin of Blanchester, Sinclair Kinch of Hamilton, Jenna Landers of Hamilton and Allison Powell of Hamilton were the honorees in women’s tennis.

In golf, Tyler Simpson of Fairfield earned Academic All-Conference honors.

For Miami Middletown:

In women's basketball, Ashley Heard of Dayton earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Jay Kinzig of Beavercreek, Andy Wooddell of Centerville and Max Zukowitz of Dayton were the honorees in men’s basketball.

In women’s tennis, Rachel Coffey of Franklin earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Paul Richmond of Middletown and Travis Smith of Germantown were the honorees for golf.

Nicole Leman of Middletown earned Academic All-Conference honors in softball.

In baseball, Michael Frazier of Monroe, Andrew Huehn of Trenton and Cory Morris of Monroe earned Academic All-Conference honors.

"All of the All-Conference picks earned at least a 3.0 grade point average while carrying at least 12 hours," said MUH Athletic Director Chris Settle.

"These students put in long hours, with practice and home and away games, yet they still manage to excel academically. Their energy and commitment are definitely worthy of this honor," said MUM Interim Athletic Director Cheryl Miller.

Campuses in the Ohio Regional Campus Conference include: Ohio State University Lima, Mansfield and Newark; Ohio University Chillicothe, Eastern Lancaster and Zanesville; University of Akron Wayne; Wright State Lake, Miami University Hamilton and Miami University Middletown.
