About the SaturdaySelect Program
SaturdaySelect is a rigorous Associate in Arts degree program restricted to students who test college ready.
Entrance into this program requires approval from the Office of Academic Advising at the time of registration.
What makes SaturdaySelect so special?
- Flexibility. All SaturdaySelect courses meet on weekends and last only 8 weeks.
- Quality. Miami's academic quality is nationally recognized.
- Credibility. SaturdaySelect courses are taught by Miami University faculty.
- Convenience. You could complete an Associate in Arts degree in as little of two years—or take whatever time you need to accommodate your job, family or other responsibilities.
- Technology. (Most SaturdaySelect courses have an online component, so a working familiarity with computers is a must.)
Most SaturdaySelect classes meet nine (9) times—typically, eight (8) full-length class meetings and one (1) two-hour meeting on the Sunday before the course officially begins.
Classes meet for either a morning or afternoon session.
Most SaturdaySelect classes have an online component, with approximately 25 percent of the courswork being delivered via the web. This kind of in-class/online format is often called a "hybrid" course. For more information, go to the FAQs page.
