About the Voice of America Learning Center
Opened in January 2009, Miami University's Voice of America Learning Center is located midway between Cincinnati and Dayton, just minutes off of I-75 in West Chester with access from both the Tylersville Road and Liberty Way exits.
As part of Miami’s Regional Campuses, the Learning Center offers a wide range of undergraduate courses with schedules complementing the courses available at Miami’s Hamilton, Middletown, and Greentree Health Sciences Academy locations.
In addition to courses for persons beginning their college work there are a number of courses that are part of the Miami Regional’s baccalaureate degree completion programs, including the innovative Bachelor’s of Integrative Studies.
The BSN degree completion program in Nursing has a regular cycle of courses at the Learning Center.
The Farmer School of Business' MBA program is exclusively available at the VOA Learning Center. Created in consultation with area businesses and prospective students, the program is designed to meet the needs and schedules of busy working professionals. The first class graduated in August 2011, and already the program has received national ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
Also at the graduate level, area educators can take advantage of the courses and programs offered through Miami’s School of Education, Health and Society, including Miami’s TEAM Scholarship program that provides a 50 percent reduction in tuition and fees for eligible participants.
Corporate training and professional development are offered by Miami’s Corporate & Community Institute which is based at the VOALC. Programs in LEAN principles, change management, human resource certification, and non-profit board development are augmented by numerous online course offerings.
In addition to the academic and professional education offerings, the VOALC hosts an ongoing series of community events including art exhibitions and family theatre performances throughout the year, and its facilities are available for rent for corporate meetings, training sessions, and other educational events.
