VOALC Teams up with Media Bridges
to Offer Video Academy to
8-18 year olds
Teaming up with Media Bridges Cincinnati, Miami’s Voice of America Learning Center has created a special two-week video academy for aspiring Spielbergs ages 8-18.
In a very hands-on way, the academy lets students gain media and digital literacy and builds confidence in their creative abilities as they watch their own creations take shape.
Each camp will offer three hours of programming per day for five days. The cost is $200 per week.
The collaboration brings Media Bridges programming to Butler County for the first time. Download the Video Academy information flyer (PDF).

Connect 4 Printmakers Exhibition
Now on Display

Join us at the VOALC for Connect 4, an exhibition of the work of four female artists who live and work in Southwest Ohio.
The four artists – Mia Knight, Barb Weinert-McBee, Sherraid Scott and Kim Vito – have a passion for printmaking. Often they work together, independently or collaboratively, in the same studio space, sharing technical knowledge, discussing methods, interacting, assisting each other and offering feedback.
This creative exchange has taken place every other year for the past ten years through the Dayton Printmaker’s Cooperative and the Gen Studio in Kyoto, Japan. The most recent exhibition for the project was at the Springfield Museum of Art, which presented the theme “House/Home.”
This exhibition is a joint presentation by the Learning Center and The Arts Council of West Chester/Liberty, and is part of Miami University’s Year of the Arts.
The artwork will be on display at the Center through June 15 and may be viewed Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 9 pm, and Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm.

According to results released March 13, the part-time MBA program offered by Miami’s Farmer School of Business is ranked 59th in the country. The new program is in its third year, having graduated its first class last spring and appears in the ranking the first year for which it was eligible.
The program is taught at Miami’s Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester, which gives it strong appeal for working professionals in the Cincinnati and Dayton metro areas.
